Continuous rainfall since Thursday night has disrupted normal life in Karimnagar district, forcing residents indoors and affecting festive preparations. In Peddapalli’s Ramagundam region, coal production in four opencast mines was halted due to water stagnation, impacting the excavation of nearly 80,000 tonnes.

Police have closed roads in some routes since there is a possibility of water overflowing across the road from dams.
