Ten female farm labourers were injured after their auto-rickshaw overturned near Erraguntapadu in Khammam district on Tuesday. The driver reportedly applied sudden brakes when a cat crossed the road. One injured woman was shifted to hospital in critical condition.
Banking operations were affected in Khammam and Kothagudem as public sector bank employees staged a strike demanding a five-day work week. The protest followed failed talks with the Chief Labour Commissioner, with unions also opposing labour codes and privatisation
