Khammam traffic police registered 250 cases of drunken driving during surprise checks held on Wednesday and Thursday as part of New Year safety measures. Of these, seventy-six motorists were caught in Khammam city.
The CP visited the traffic police station here on Friday and counselled 45 two-wheeler riders who were caught roaming without number plates in the city.
