Tension prevailed in Kosgi municipality in Kodangal constituency after residents alleged that Congress workers carried out demolitions of commercial establishments despite a court stay order. The incident sparked protests, heated arguments and allegations of unauthorised action during road widening works.
More than 57 per cent of the undergraduate engineering seats in the Government Engineering College in Kosgi, which has been set up by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in his Kodangal Assembly constituency, had no takers this academic year.
To begin with, the institution will offer Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), CSE Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and CSE Data Science programmes with each 60 seats from the forthcoming academic year.
