YSRCP's Botsa Jhansi Lakshmi faces a challenging contest in Visakhapatnam against Telugu Desam Party's Sri Bharat and Congress's P Sathyanarayana Reddy.
Apart from Gali Anil Kumar of BRS, Suresh Shetkar of Congress and BB Patil of BJP, there were six other candidates in the election from recognised political parties.
According to District Election Officer and Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, so far 26 candidates have filed a total of 44 sets of nominations for the Nizamabad Parliament seat.
The Rajya Sabha member alleged that the Congress is actively seeking the victory of Asaduddin Owaisi, the incumbent MP and President of AIMIM, in the upcoming elections next month
Sources in the party say Raja Singh made the comment deliberately as Kishan Reddy was reportedly exerting pressure on him to contest the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, represented by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi.
