Out of the last eight medals India won at Olympics, six of them are from women athletes.

The Indian won the bout against Chen Nien-Chin by 4-1 split decision. With this win, she entered the semifinal and assured India at least a bronze.

The 23-year-old showed great poise in a tense contest to triumph by the thinnest of margins.
