A multi-crore drug racket operating out of Cherlapally, Hyderabad, has triggered a nationwide investigation involving the Enforcement Directorate, Narcotics Control Bureau, and Maharashtra Police. The seizure of Mephedrone from Vagdevi Labs has revealed links to hawala transactions and international drug syndicates.
Two suspects from Vagdevi Laboratories, arrested in the Cherlapally mephedrone racket, were taken to Mumbai after a transit warrant. Police estimate drugs worth ₹12,000 crore could have been manufactured, with 12 accused held so far in the multi-state operation.
The arrested persons were identified as Tejavath Suresh (38) of Punjagutta, Shaik Miya (35) and Ahmed of Bowenpally while one of their associate, Mohammed Salman of Banjara Hills was absconding
