Three arrested with drugs worth Rs 10 lakh in Hyderabad
The arrested persons were identified as Tejavath Suresh (38) of Punjagutta, Shaik Miya (35) and Ahmed of Bowenpally while one of their associate, Mohammed Salman of Banjara Hills was absconding
Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force (North) team caught three drug peddlers and seized 200 gm of Mephedrone drug and seven mobile phones from them on Wednesday.
The arrested persons were identified as Tejavath Suresh (38) of Punjagutta, Shaik Miya (35) and Ahmed of Bowenpally while one of their associate, Mohammed Salman of Banjara Hills was absconding.
“The four persons were procuring drugs from Mukesh, Sanjay, Sohel Nawab and Hassan- all from Mumbai for Rs 2,500 per gram and selling it for Rs 5,000 to customers in the city,” said P Radha Kishan Rao, DCP Task Force. Two days ago Salman and Suresh had gone to Mumbai and procured the drug from there and smuggled it to the city.
“On information our team raided a house at Bowenpally and seized the drug stored there. It is valued at Rs.10 lakh,” said the official. The three persons along with the contraband were handed over to Bowenpally police for further action.
