The TGSRTC has ended its special summer discount scheme in Greater Hyderabad, effective May 31. From June 1, regular fares for Metro Deluxe and AC bus services will resume.
To reduce traffic congestion, TSRTC plans to introduce rental Metro Deluxe buses for IT corridor employees and add 2,800 electric buses in two years. New charging stations and depots will support this green initiative to improve Hyderabad’s public transport
The Telangana government has announced a fare hike on city bus services in Hyderabad, effective October 6, with increases ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 10. The revision aligns with its plan to deploy 2,800 electric buses by 2027 and reduce pollution within the Outer Ring Road.
RTC is planning to introduce a Semi-Deluxe category buses between these two categories. The ticket price will be 5 to 6 per cent higher than Express buses and 4 per cent lower than the Deluxe bus.
