A man identified as Mohd Shabaz was taken into custody after a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Hyderabad's Sanathnagar. Police registered a case under the POCSO Act following a complaint by the victim's mother and launched an investigation.
A minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at the NIMS hospital compound in Punjagutta. The accused, identified as Shambu (45), reportedly fled after the incident. Police have registered a case under the BNS and POCSO Act and launched an investigation.
A POCSO court in Hyderabad sentenced Chilkur Sandeep to 20 years’ imprisonment and fined him Rs 50,000 for sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2019. The court also awarded Rs 3 lakh compensation to the victim.
