Union ministers and chief ministers paid tributes to former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary, remembering his contributions to India's scientific progress, defence strength, education and youth empowerment. Leaders said his vision, dedication and commitment to nation-building continue to inspire generations.
Kalam served as the 11th president of India between 2002-07 and earned the respect and admiration of people and political parties across the spectrum for his simple living and non-partisan conduct.
