During his public address, Harish Rao criticized the State government's Musi Riverfront Development project, accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of displacing thousands of poor families under the guise of development. He condemned the government's misplaced priorities, arguing that it was endangering citizens' lives to benefit corporate interests.
At a press conference on Friday, BRS legislator P Kaushik Reddy raised concerns over the dramatic rise in project costs from Rs 16,000 crore to a staggering Rs 1.5 lakh crore, labeling it a blatant attempt to siphon public funds. He called for the State government to hold a public hearing on the project before proceeding further.
