A parliamentary panel has flagged inadequate preparation time for schools to implement the third-language requirement from Class 6 under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It recommended faster textbook development, teacher recruitment support, and timely distribution of multilingual resources.
The SFI Telangana committee has urged the State government not to implement NEP 2020, claiming it favours corporate interests. The student body demanded an alternative policy, timely scholarships, fee reimbursements, and improved hostel and mess facilities for students.
