In response to the notification issued by the School Education department, a staggering 49,326 in-service teachers registered for the TET 2026. Before the NCTE notification dated August 23, 2010, teachers appointed in government and local body schools were exempted from appearing for the TET.
The High Court, led by Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J. Sreenivas Rao, recently dismissed a writ petition challenging the guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) concerning the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TS-TET).
The teachers claimed that despite receiving clarification from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) over the promotions, the department did not disclose information to teachers.
