Bata India Ltd appointed Sanjay Rao as Managing Director and CEO, replacing Gunjan Shah after his five-year tenure. Rao, formerly with Nike and Inditex, brings over two decades of global retail leadership experience across India, Asia, and Europe

In an internal memo to employees seen by The Wall Street Journal, Nike Chief Executive John Donahoe said that the company is using its resources to boost investment in categories like running, women's apparel and the Jordan brand.

The items included a sterling silver whistle, shoe brush, shoe horn, and an attractive shoelace.
