President Droupadi Murmu will become the first President to address the Odisha Legislative Assembly during her two-day state visit on Thursday. The Odisha-born leader will also visit her renovated former ministerial chamber and inaugurate the Kalinga Atithi Nivas in Bhubaneswar.
Two BJP MLAs including opposition chief whip Mohan Majhi were suspended from the Odisha Assembly till the end of the current session for allegedly throwing 'daal' (pulses) at Speaker Pramila Mallik's podium on Thursday.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presented three proposals in the resolution in the House through video conference, which was supported by both the BJP and the Congress.
