A Class 8 student at Peddapur Gurukulam school in Jagtial was reportedly bitten by a snake on Thursday. Though unconfirmed, two bite marks were found on his leg. The incident has revived fears after last year’s fatal snake bites.
Parents of students studying in the Peddapur Gurukul have taken to the streets after frequent snakebites in the school, with several of them squatting on the Nizamabad-Jagtial national highway near Maruthinagar demanding that the school be shifted from the current premises and also action against officials whose negligence resulted in the mishaps, which saw two children being hospitalised after being bitten by snakes within the last 24 hours.
A Class 8 student of the Peddapur Gurukul was hospitalised on Wednesday following a snakebite. This is the same school where a student died, allegedly of snakebite, barely four months ago.
