The project, located on the borders of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and which was completed in 1981, provides irrigation to nearly 16,000 acres, of which 2360 acres fall in Telangana.
The modernisation component of the project, proposed almost seven years ago, but could not find its way forward would be posed for the assistance under the Command Area Development and Water management programme.
