ACP (Traffic) Srinivasulu stated that the special drive was launched on the instructions of Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt, following complaints of bikers using modified silencers on Royal Enfield motorcycles. Many riders had been altering the factory-installed silencers, creating excessive noise, while others were fitting loud horns, contributing to noise pollution. He warned that legal action would be taken, including the seizure of vehicles causing such disturbances.
