The University of Hyderabad has invited applications for 13 PhD programmes under the January 2026 admission cycle. The extension aims to fill backlog vacancies. Candidates with valid UGC-NET or CSIR-UGC-NET scores can apply online through the university website.
The UGC's Standing Committee, which examined the information submitted by the universities, found that the three universities did not follow the provisions of the UGC PhD regulations and academic norms for award of PhD degrees
