Police personnel from Khammam and Warangal districts performed well at the Telangana Police Sports and Games Meet-2026. Khammam constable Pilli Raju won three medals, while Warangal athletes secured 33 medals. Senior officials praised the winners
Khammam police officer Pilli Raju completed the Ladakh Marathon, the world’s highest-altitude run, finishing the 42.195 km race in 5 hours 36 minutes. His achievement qualifies him for the gruelling 72 km Khardung-La Challenge.
Khammam constable Pilli Raju completed the challenging Spiti Full Marathon in 6.13 hours at 15,000 ft altitude, earning the ‘Best Motivator Runner’ title. The seasoned athlete now boasts over 300 medals and recently finished the 60 km Bison Ultra as well
Khammam AR constable Pilli Raju completed the 60-km Bison Ultra 2025 marathon in Yercaud, overcoming one of India’s most demanding trail routes. Having finished within the cut-off time, he now prepares for the 100K challenge in 2026.
Raju, a native of Kostala village in Wyra mandal, secured the constable job in sports quota in 2009. His sports portfolio includes Kabaddi, Judo and Wrestling and he has represented the police department in annual national and state events and won over 40 medals
