The Central government has allocated ₹18,907 crore to construct 26,474 kilometres of rural roads under PMGSY in FY 2026-27. The Rural Development Ministry has directed states to fast-track pending projects, focusing on tribal and LWE-affected regions

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched the beta version of “Adi Vaani,” India’s first AI-powered translator for tribal languages. Developed with IIT Delhi and other premier institutions, the initiative aims to preserve endangered tribal languages, facilitate real-time translation, and support education, digital literacy, and civic inclusion in tribal regions.
Bhatti, who also holds the Energy Minister portfolio, held a review meeting with the officials of TSREDCO and directed them to identify government buildings, reservoirs and open spaces in the State to set up solar panels and prepare proposals to increase renewable electricity.
With a budget of around Rs.24,000 crore, the scheme will work towards providing PVTGs basic amenities like pucca house, water, electricity, road and mobile connectivity, mobile medical units, Aadhar card and Ayushman card.
