About 100 stray dogs in Yacharam Gram Panchayath were allegedly poisoned and dumped in a trench. Stay Animal Foundation filed a complaint against local officials, prompting a police investigation. Post-mortem examination was conducted by veterinary doctors on Thursday.
A 27-year-old woman in Thane was arrested for allegedly poisoning her three minor daughters over domestic issues. The children, aged 5, 8 and 10, died after being served food laced with pesticide. Police booked her for murder following autopsy confirmation.
