A ration dealer told Telangana Today that despite having the entire month to collect rice, many beneficiaries are rushing to the shops fearing a potential shortage.
Rice distribution has been delayed in several fair price shops across Karimnagar and nearby districts due to a shortage of transport vehicles, as lorries were diverted for paddy procurement following unseasonal rains. Beneficiaries have been forced to return empty-handed.
