Telangana emerged overall champion at the 7th All India Prison Duty Meet in Hyderabad, winning 21 gold medals across Karate and Krav Maga, with strong performances from participants and support from Telangana Police leadership
The first Telangana Conference for Women in Police concluded in Hyderabad with over 400 officers participating. Experts highlighted key concerns, including women’s low representation at 8.6 per cent, and recommended reforms on gender bias, workplace culture, training, and work-life balance
Abhilasha Bisht, Director General and Director, RBVRR Telangana Police Academy, said the nine months training began in February this year at 19 training institutes across the State. Among the 8,047 cadets, there are 2338 women candidates.
