The court, which had reserved its decision on November 20 following a petition by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Patnam Narender Reddy’s wife, delivered its verdict on Friday. Shurthi, the wife of the former MLA, had challenged the registration of three First Information Reports (FIRs) for the same incident. Justice K. Lakshman, after considering the arguments presented by Reddy’s counsel, decided to quash two of the FIRs.
As per the orders issued by the Chief Secretary and the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA), the appointments and promotions are on the basis of purely temporary and emergency provisions.
