Telugu Christians across the Gulf region celebrated Christmas with special prayers, carols and community gatherings. Churches in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait hosted services in Telugu, reflecting unity, faith and cultural warmth among expatriate communities.

The annual community Iftar is being organised by the Saudi Arabian Telugu Association (SATA) that represents Telugu Diaspora in the Kingdom.

The harvest festival of Sankranti is celebrated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on a grand scale and the Telugu community abroad follows the tradition.

The SATA delegation appreciated the various welfare measures initiated to enhance the services to the Indian community in Saudi Arabia.
