The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended appointments and elevations of judges across six High Courts, including Delhi, Bombay, and Andhra Pradesh. The move coincides with the Centre’s approval of 19 judge appointments in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Gauhati

Judges Laxmi Narayan Alishetty, Anil Kumar Jukanti and Sujana Kalasikam were named as additional judges on July 31, 2023

Also recommends the transfer of Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya to the Delhi High Court

Justice Muralidharan had requested the SC Collegium to transfer him to his parent High Court in Madras and if that was not feasible, for his retention at the High Court of Manipur.
