Incessant rains disrupted coal production at seven SCCL opencast projects in Mancherial and Peddapalli districts, affecting nearly 60,000 tonnes of daily excavation. Heavy machinery remained stranded due to rainwater accumulation as officials worked to drain projects and resume operations
Moderate to heavy rain lashed the erstwhile Adilabad district from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, disrupting normal life. Nirmal and Mancherial were the worst affected, with swollen streams, damaged roads, traffic disruptions, injuries and a ₹1.35 crore production loss for SCCL.
