Two Class X students of a private school in Vemulawada sustained injuries after being allegedly thrashed by their principal for not completing maths homework. The incident, which occurred on Monday, came to light on Wednesday.
A government school principal was shot dead and a woman teacher injured in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, after bike-borne assailants tried to snatch his gold chain. Police have launched a probe and formed special teams to trace the culprits.
During the event, students alleged that the principal failed to address their concerns and restricted proper interaction with their parents. They accused her of using abusive language when questioned and imposing penalties on students returning late to the hostel after vacations, citing school development. Additionally, they claimed they were denied cosmetic charges sanctioned by the state government.
