A 45-year-old man drowned in the Rajiv canal of Sitarama Project near Vinobanagar village in Julurupad mandal of Kothagudem district on Tuesday. Boda Nagaiah had gone fishing when he accidentally slipped into the canal and drowned.

The local SI Rajesh with the help of expert swimmers retrieved the dead bodies and booked a case in connection with the incident
