PETA India and SAFI facilitated an FIR after a video showed a goat being slaughtered in public at Chinna Lingapur, Thangallapally Mandal. Police booked the person seen in the video under BNS and PCA Act provisions, which mandate penalties for animal cruelty.
A man who bit into a goat’s neck during a ritual sacrifice in Siddipet has been booked after PETA India and SAFI filed a complaint. The incident, recorded and shared online, drew sharp criticism and legal action for animal cruelty.
After confirming the dog's death, the man tied the lifeless body to his bike, dragged it for a few metres, before discarding it in an agricultural field near his house.
