For the first time since Telangana’s formation, registrations for Intermediate Public Examinations have crossed 10 lakh. The exams will begin on February 25, 2026, even as the Board has reduced the number of examination centres.
The PIL was filed by a practicing advocate Bandela Kranthi Kumar, seeking directions to the private intermediate colleges not to conduct classes, physical or virtual, during the holidays declared in the annual academic calendar issued by the TG BIE
According to sources, as the fresh academic session is set to begin on June 2, the government is of the view that syllabus changes at the stage could lead to confusion and disruption, especially given the limited time available to develop content and print textbooks.
