An exclusive WhatsApp group formed by senior IAS officers in Telangana has triggered unease in the Secretariat. The group, comprising officers in key positions including from the Chief Minister’s Office, is reportedly influencing file movement, approvals, and fund releases, sidelining other officials.
The Telangana High Court stayed a Central Administrative Tribunal order directing the allocation of senior IAS officer D. Ronald Rose to the Telangana cadre. The Union Government challenged the Tribunal’s jurisdiction, citing that cadre allocation rests solely with the Department of Personnel and Training.
Following are the officers who are allotted to Telangana cadre: Paritosh Pankaj (hailing from Bihar and with rank 142), Sirisetti Sankeerth (Telangana, 330), Patil Kantilal Subash (Maharashtra, 418) and Ankith Kumar Sankhwar (Uttar Pradesh, 563).
