Farmer suicides in Telangana rose to 283 in 2025, up from 256 the previous year, according to Rythu Swarajya Vedika (RSV). The organisation, which tracks suicides through news reports and volunteer inputs, attributed the increase to heavy and untimely rains, repeated crop losses, and lack of compensation.
