The Health Minister, who made a surprise visit to Gandhi Hospital, inspected the outpatient facilities and interacted with patients. Later, he also inspected the attendance register to ascertain the presence of doctors.
After inaugurating a 5-bed dialysis center at the hospital on Monday, the Minister announced that the Narsapur constituency currently has 22 kidney patients who have been traveling to the government hospital in Medak for dialysis. With the new center established at a cost of Rs 50 lakh, these patients will no longer need to make that journey.
A detailed discussion on the present status of seasonal diseases, Covid infections, TB, NCDs, Dengue, Malaria etc was also held between the Health Minister and senior health officials from the National Health Mission.
