The BRS accused the Congress government of facilitating an alleged overseas employment scam through TOMCOM, claiming hundreds paid Rs 4.1 lakh each for Germany placements but fewer than 10 were sent. It demanded a probe, refunds and action against those responsible.
BRS leader T Harish Rao has sought an inquiry into TOMCOM’s Germany job programme, alleging candidates paid lakhs without securing placements. He demanded refunds, compensation, alternative employment and a white paper on fees collected and overseas placements

TOMCOM has entered into partnerships with various government and private registered agencies in different countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Poland, Romania, UAE, Saudi and UK in addition to Gulf countries.
Ch Malla Reddy has directed officials of the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company to coordinate with Indian Embassies in various countries to gather information on jobs available abroad.
