The Telangana School Education department proposed any further increase would require approval from State fee regulatory committee. The proposal, expected to be tabled at the next Cabinet meeting, has been rejected by private schools, which demand a 5 % annual hike in line with inflation.
The proposed commission will be headed by a former Supreme Court or High Court judge and comprise senior academicians, professors, chartered accountants, and management members
For April and May, the State government has deposited Rs 81.89 crore into the accounts of the private schools teaching and non-teaching staff, the Minister said.
