Government doctors in Telangana are protesting delayed salaries and long-pending arrears. Associations have urged the State government to resolve payment issues and reform the TVVP structure, warning that continued neglect could affect healthcare services in government hospitals.
Senior faculty of state-run medical colleges posted in peripheral regions of Telangana State continue to protest for being ignored in the recently held general transfers in the health department.
The general transfers that are being taken-up in the health department has left the community of government doctors in Telangana State disgruntled. A large section of doctors express their frustration over the ambiguity surrounding the process of transferring government doctors in the State.
The doctors criticized the way senior health authorities including DPH and DME took one-sided decisions and handed them transfers, without bothering to consult them.
