The iconic Trimulgherry football ground in Secunderabad Cantonment has been closed due to the construction of a compound wall as part of the proposed elevated corridor project. The closure has disrupted decades-old routines of football players, children, and morning walkers.
"The Chief Minister claims to be a sportsperson and has expressed his love for football many times. Is this how he wants to treat existing playgrounds and leave sportspersons in lurch?" asked BRS spokesperson Krishank.
