Defence puts up signboard at Trimulgherry football ground, restricts entry
The Local Military Authority has declared the Trimulgherry football ground in Secunderabad Cantonment a protected area and put up a warning signboard as compound wall works continue. Regular players say entry has been restricted and football practice has been halted

Hyderabad: With the works on the compound wall at the iconic Trimulgherry football ground in Secunderabad Cantonment continuing at a brisk pace, the Local Military Authority (LMA) has placed a signboard stating that the football ground premises is a protected area and that legal action will be taken against encroachers.
The sprawling two-acre football ground comes under A-1 Defence land, with Telangana Andhra Sub Area (TASA) as the custodian of the premises.
A senior football player from Trimulgherry said the Defence authorities have now restricted entry into the football ground and completely shut it for regular players. Construction material has been dumped on the football ground premises for use in the ongoing compound wall works. Daily football players said their practice has now been completely halted.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is the intending agency for the SCB elevated corridor on State Highway-1 (Rajiv Rahadari).
