The CPI (ML) Mass Line has strongly condemned the arrest of Telangana activist and social worker Gade Innaiah under the UAPA by the National Investigation Agency. State secretary Potu Ranga Rao demanded immediate withdrawal of the UAPA case against Innaiah and called for his release.
The Supreme Court will hear the bail pleas of Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, Gulfisha Fatima, and Meeran Haider in the UAPA case linked to the February 2020 Delhi riots. The High Court had earlier denied their bail citing potential conspiratorial violence
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Arif Hussain alias Abu Talib at Delhi’s IGI Airport while he was allegedly attempting to flee the country in connection with the Vizianagaram ISIS terror conspiracy case. He is the third key accused in the case, after Siraj-ur-Rahman and Syed Sameer, who were earlier arrested for possessing IED-making chemicals and plotting terror attacks.
