Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the PM Internship Scheme during the Union Budget for the financial year 2024-25. Under this scheme, each intern will receive a monthly allowance of ₹5,000, along with a one-time additional benefit of ₹6,000 after one year.
Stating that the budget allocated for education is not a problem, Dr. Narayana said the resources are not being effectively utilized in the country. "Globally, we are the worst in terms of education," he said.
