Agro dealers across Telangana observed a one-day strike, keeping nearly 20,000 shops closed. They demanded lower fertiliser prices, reduced transport charges, and removal of the Urea App, saying current policies are increasing the financial burden on farmers
The BRS staged protests in Nalgonda against the Congress government’s urea distribution app, citing difficulties faced by farmers in accessing fertiliser. Former MLA Ravindra Kumar criticised the app for poor server connectivity, technical glitches, and the lack of smartphones among farmers.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao lashed out at the Congress government’s newly launched ‘Urea App’, branding it a symbol of incompetence and anti-farmer policy. Addressing party-backed local representatives in Hyderabad, he accused the ruling party of weakening agriculture, disrupting electricity supply, and sidelining schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima.
