Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tributes to former President of India and Bharat Ratna Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday said a disaster-like situation prevails in Uttarakhand due to excessive rains and put the losses suffered by the state so far at over Rs 1,000 crore.
As reported by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the occurrence took place in Helang village along the Badrinath highway, situated between Pipalkoti and Joshimath, during the late evening hours on Tuesday.
In January, land subsidence around Joshimath led to hundreds of residents fleeing their homes, which had developed cracks, and taking refuge in hotels, rest houses and at homes of relatives and friends
