As the Joint Parliament Committee (JPC) report on the Waqf Amendment Bill is expected to be presented in the winter session, TDP’s Muslim leaders have urged Chandrababu Naidu to oppose the proposed amendments to the Waqf Act, according to party sources.
In its first meeting of district office bearers and the executive committee here, the party deliberated on 'strengthening' its organisational structure, discussed reaching out to the people and passed 26 resolutions
During a meeting, leaders of various shrines from around the country discussed and opposed the Waqf Amendment Bill (2024). “We examined the Bill thoroughly and have several concerns regarding its implementation. We will communicate our apprehensions to the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Saturday,” stated Syed Gulaam Afzal Biyabani.
