AIMIM has announced its plans to contest the upcoming municipal elections in Maharashtra, scheduled for next year. Party Maharashtra in-charge and former MP Imtiyaz Jaleel released the list of candidates for Nanded, Jalna, Mumbra, Dhule, Vasai-Virar, and Mumbai municipal corporations.

A total of 2,290 candidates are contesting the election. Among them, 2,068 are men, one is transgender, and the rest are women.

Chief Minister and party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to announce the candidates in a day or two
