A senior assistant at Tandur Municipality was caught red-handed by ACB officials while accepting a Rs. 15,000 bribe to allot a house number to a shed. He was arrested and sent to judicial remand, with the case under investigation

Hyderabad: A senior assistant working at the Tandur Municipality was caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs. 15,000.
B Ramesh, a senior assistant at Tandur Municipality, had allegedly demanded the amount from a person for allotting a house number to a shed.
Following a complaint, the ACB team laid a trap and caught Ramesh while he was accepting the bribe amount from the complainant. He was arrested and sent to judicial remand. The case is under investigation.
