Tapeswaram laddu weighing 30 tons donated to Khairatabad Ganesh
The famous Tapeswaram laddu, weighing 30 tons, was donated to Khairatabad Ganesh in Hyderabad. Donated by Malle Babu of Sri Bhaktanjaneya Suruchi Foods, the laddu has been given annually since 2010, growing from 500 kg to 30 tons.

Hyderabad: The renowned Tapeswaram laddu, weighing 30 tons, was donated to Khairatabad Ganesh on Wednesday. The laddu travelled around more than 500 km from Tapeswaram and reached Hyderabad in a special vehicle.
The Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee received the laddu on Wednesday evening, confirmed Committee’s President S Raj Kumar.
The laddu was donated by Malle Babu, a sweet maker and owner of Sri Bhaktanjaneya Suruchi Foods of Tapeswaram in East Godavari district. Malle Babu has been donating the laddu for free to Khairatabad Ganesh since 2010.
The donation of laddu began as a 500-kg laddu in 2010 with its weight and size increasing each year. The laddu weight was increased to 2,400 kg in 2011, 3,500 kg in 2012, 4,200 kg in 2013, and 5,200 kg in 2015.
