Task Force busts Nepali dacoity gang in Secunderabad
The Task Force (North) and Karkhana Police arrested five members of a Nepali dacoity gang that robbed Capt D K Giri at Gunrock Enclave. Gold, cash and valuables worth Rs 10 lakh were recovered, while eight accused remain absconding.

Hyderabad: The Task Force (North) team along with the Karkhana Police busted a Nepali dacoity gang involved in a violent robbery at the residence of Capt D K Giri (Retd) in Gunrock Enclave and arrested five persons, while eight other gang members remain absconding.
According to police, the gang confined and assaulted the victim before looting gold ornaments weighing about 23 tolas and Rs 95,000 in cash.
The arrested suspects were identified as Raj Bahadur Shahi (36), Mahendra Bahadur Shahi (39), Gorkhe Bhadhur Kamee (40), Amit Bisukarma (22) and Subhash Tamata (19). All are of Nepali origin and were employed as watchmen or domestic helps at various places in the city.
Police said investigation revealed that the crime was executed after the complainant hired two domestic workers through an agency, who were planted by the gang as part of a pre-planned conspiracy which unfolded on November 16.
“The assailants tied up and assaulted the victim during the night before fleeing with the valuables and distributing the stolen property among themselves,” said a senior Task Force official.
Property worth around Rs 10 lakh was recovered, including gold, silver, a Rolex watch, cash of Rs 43,050 and five mobile phones.
A manhunt is underway for eight absconding members, including the woman who posed as a domestic worker.
